Abuelita’s Sopita: Recipe & Guide to Calculating Carbohydrates for Type1 Diabetics
INGREDIENTS
1 package of stellate pasta
2-3 cloves garlic, pressed
4 tbs Knorr chicken seasoning
8 cups of water
¼ small onion, grated
7oz tomato sauce
4 tbs olive oil
DIRECTIONS
Heat olive oil in large sauté pan
Add pasta, sauté until golden, stirring continuously
Add onion, garlic, tomato sauce, Knorr seasoning.
Incorporate water. Bring to boil, cover, and simmer on low-medium heat for 10 minutes, or until al dente.
Total Carbs: 42.5g carbs per serving
