How To Insert A New AutoSoft™ 90 Insulin Pump Infusion Set (formerly t:90® Infusion Set)

In this video, we will show you how to insert a new Autosoft 90 Infusion Set.

The t:90® Infusion Set is a 90-degree soft set that uses an integrated, disposable insertion device.

This technique works great with the complete lineup of Tandem Diabetes Care (t:slim, t:slim G4, t:slim X2, and t:flex) insulin pumps as well as any pump on the market.

Just switched to the Tslim insulin pump and am very pleased with the easy control and stable blood sugar it achieves. The only downside is the AutoSoft 90 infusion set. I'm finding it very difficult indeed to remove the tube from the cannula. It was so simple with the medtronic – but I can't seem to manage no matter how long I fiddle with it. I've taken to unscrewing the tubing from the pump and leaving it hanging from my body when I take a shower, which is not ideal.

I have been using Tandem for 5 months with the Dexcom G6. The CGM element is far superior to Medtronic but the ease of use of the infusion set up is very difficult! I have arthritic hands and after 5 months of practice pulling back on the loading set up for insertion it is still immensely difficult for my hands as is disconnecting the infusion tubing from the cannula for bathing. It would also be very helpful to have a wider adhesive dressing around the infusion set to keep it more securely anchored but know that this would make the infusion insertion devise even more difficult to handle. I feel it is a design flaw to be so challenging to use the infusion set up and require additional tape to keep the infusion set secured to the skin.

Dr Igudia on YouTube natural herbs medication are indeed effective in curing diabetes diseases permanently and I’m so happy to have been able to get the medication which cured my type 2 diabetes permanently.

I have had a t:slim x 2 pump for about 7 weeks now which I was changed to due to Roche stopping production of my Spirit Combo pump. Having now got used to my new pump I have found that the t:slim is a well designed and very easy pump to use. I really wish I could say the same of the AutoSoft 90 cannulas. As others have previously commented, they are very complicated and poorly designed. I do wonder if the designers actually have cause to use them themselves! I so wish I could still use my separately packaged cannula which was applied with a sturdy re-usable applicator, this would surely also be more cost effective and less wasteful in these days of reducing waste? Plus the added bonus of saving wastage and cost due to the numerous failed attempts attempting to apply the AutoSoft cannula.

I hate whatever idiot designed this… This shit doesn't work and doesn't stay in. Such a stupid horrible design!

I have been using the X2 for about 4 months (after over 4 years with Medtronic, and over 36 years as a T1 diabetic), and in most ways it is a great improvement over the 670G. However, I have had several issues with the Autosoft 90 cannula bending back on insertion, which was never an issue with the Minimed system. Since the Tandem system does not recognize a problem, I get no warning until hours later, when my BG just keeps going up and up. Is there a way to prevent this, or comparable alternatives?
In addition, in all the years of using pumps I have never before heard that you have to fill the infusion set when reconnecting after a shower or something. It was not even addressed in ftf training with a diabetes specialist. Is this done under the "Load" menu?

I've had the T-Slim x2 system for three weeks now, my BSL is wonderfully stable now after 42 years ! One major concern for me is trying to unlock the infusion tube from the cannula when refilling the cartridge: it seems to need 4 hands to do it, my partner has to help me pull it off, as he presses the tiny top button and I need to hold in the two side lugs. I just can't release it by myself. Not easy with two pairs of giant mens" paws fiddling this dainty delicate device. Why does it have to be so difficult ? A nightmare !

I wish you could just TURN OFF THE ANNOYING AND USELESS "BACKGROUND" NOISE (masquerading as "music"), way too loud and overbearing, why have it ? Like we really need a happy disco atmosphere to dance during an important and complicated medical procedure made by the same manufacturers !

Holy crap! How do you expect stupid people to use this??? I work in engineering, and my eyes are glazing over.

Stay away if you can. This has done nothing but waste money and been a problem. The pump is fine but the plastic tube when inserted is garbage. I put a new one in and my sugar goes to 400. Finally after bolus multiple times I pull it out to see it bent to shreds. Im at my wits end

I absolutely hate that all infusion sets that Medtronic has available, are available for Tandem, except for the one that is far superior: The Mio Advance. Since switching to Tandem I miss this infusion set every time I have to replace mine. Please release a similar model, or offer an option with a luer-lock instead of the T-lock, so I can still use this pump, but don't have constant irritation, blockage, loss of sites or even a visit to the emergency room due to infection from Autosoft 90… Otherwise, I'm not sure my next pump will be a Tandem again (that's how annoyed I am with it, and I've got the scars to prove it).

My daughter drinks lots of water and urinates with the same rate, there are no other symptoms to show if those have anything to do with diabetes. This is a good information that I have gone through Diabets.Care She is 2 years 9 months, hale and healthy, have not done any blood test. But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that

In an emergency, is there any way to use a different infusion set with the Tandem slim; such as a Medtronic set? Or, anyone in the Charlotte, NC area have an AutoSoft 90 set they can spare? Today.

Seeing lots of testimonies about this Dr Igudia on YouTube for permanent eradication to Diabetes disease not until i had to give it a try and my health was restored back to normal thanks Dr Igudia

This video needs to be slowed down, and give time before each demonstration so you can see the pump screen. They go wayyyyyyyy too fast! I had to keep stopping and go back time and time again.

I do not like the infusion set half the time I pull the needle out from the cannula and the cannula either comes off or it gets bent from struggling with it by trying to pull the needle out straight up off the cannula
(FYI The cannula is the soft tube that goes underneath the skin)

I've had a pump for about 4-5 years now and have always used the true steel infusion sets and haven't had much issue with them, and the very first time I used the this set I was getting occultation alerts instantly from basal delivery. Is there a way to fix this or am I stuck with a poor design flaw?
