This guy is a nutcase! The reason you test is so you don’t become a type two diabetic who uses insulin! Instead of worrying about taking money from testing and putting it towards insulin! Cut out the big corporations, multi billion dollar profits and make insulin affordable, and you can continue to test! Why on earth is he using test that we’re done in 2011? Apparently he works for a big corporate donor?
I test every day to stay on track with my diet, this is the worst advice I have ever heard!

I didnt use to test I was just watching what I eat and being told at my three month bloods were under 7 and go by that …but some people don't eat right and in the case they have no idea what there levels are and when there to hi …I've started to test everyday now to know when it's ok to eat more or have a small low sugar treat this would be dangerous if I didn't test so I would say to check your levels plus it's good paece of mind
I disagree with this, a glucose monitor is not only helpful, it is a necessary tool along with a low carb diet in controlling T2 diabetes. In the end, its more cost effective to avoid diabetes complications. I manage my type2 diabetes with a low carb diet and time restricted eating and no insulin or diabetes meds.

Studies of Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 is one of the least researched areas because of this idea in the medical community: It is a preventable disease and it is a progressive disease. Patients are told this is life and how you will be going down this road that will eventually lead to your death. It is progressive because it is not treated to cure or go in remission. Gastro bypass or reduction shows there is a about a 30% change in remission. There are other potential solutions that demand some research, but most of the research is research drugs to treat symptoms, not make cures.
